Founding Creator Beta Addendum
Effective September 15, 2026
This Addendum applies only to creators taking part in the closed beta by Vizno’s invitation. It supplements the Creator Terms of Service and controls on conflict for the duration of the beta.
This Founding Creator Beta Addendum (the "Addendum") supplements the Creator Terms of Service (the "Creator Terms") for creators who take part in Vizno's closed, invitation-only beta (the "Beta"). Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Creator Terms. By accepting this Addendum in the Service interface, or by using the Service as an invited Beta participant, you agree to it. If you do not agree, do not take part in the Beta.
If this Addendum conflicts with the Creator Terms, this Addendum controls for the duration of the Beta. Everything in the Creator Terms that this Addendum does not change continues to apply.
1. What the Beta is
The Beta is a creators-only program. Vizno invites a small number of creators (the "Founding Creators") to import or start a game, refine it with Vizno's authoring tools, get it ready to publish, and share it privately with other participants and Vizno staff for playtesting.
During the Beta:
- nothing you make is published to the public, listed in the catalog, or made playable by anyone who is not a signed-in Beta participant or a member of Vizno staff;
- no reader is charged real money, no purchase you or another participant makes is a real transaction, and no earnings accrue;
- Vizno may add, change, limit, or remove features at any time without notice.
The Beta begins when you accept this Addendum and ends on the date Vizno notifies you by email that the Beta has ended, or when your creator account ends, whichever is first. Vizno will give at least 14 days' notice of the end of the Beta except where a shorter period is required by law or by a security or compliance issue.
2. Pre-release software
The Service is pre-release software during the Beta. It will have bugs. Features may be incomplete, may behave differently from one day to the next, and may be withdrawn. Section 12 of the Creator Terms (Disclaimers and limitation of liability) applies in full, and in addition Vizno does not promise any level of availability, response time, or support during the Beta.
Some commitments in the Creator Terms describe systems that are not yet operating during the Beta. For the duration of the Beta, the following apply in place of the corresponding language in the Creator Terms:
- Automated abuse detection (Section 6). Vizno scans uploaded images with automated content classification. Hash-based matching against known illegal material will be added after Vizno completes its onboarding with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. Vizno's reporting obligations under 18 U.S.C. § 2258A apply regardless.
- Pre-publication review (Sections 6 and 8.6). Because nothing is published during the Beta, the 5-business-day review target does not run. You may submit a game for review to confirm it is publish-ready; Vizno will review it, but approval during the Beta does not make it public.
- Reporting (Section 6). The in-product report tool is not available during the Beta. Reports go to reports@vizno.com or the Beta support channel. Appeals under Section 6 are unchanged.
- Monetization (Section 9). Monetization features are available for authoring and preview only, against a test payment provider. Section 9 applies when monetization is enabled. Taking part in the Beta earns no revenue share, rate, or other benefit of any kind.
3. Your data and the risk of loss
Keep your own copies. Keep the original files for anything you import or upload, including your complete Ren'Py project, art, audio, and scripts. Vizno is a working copy during the Beta, not your archive.
What Vizno does. Vizno takes daily backups of the Beta database and tests that they restore. Uploaded media is stored in a single copy at a storage provider. Vizno will use reasonable efforts to preserve your work, but does not guarantee against loss, corruption, or the need to re-import.
What may happen. A bug, a change to the import pipeline, or a maintenance action may require you to re-import a project or redo edits. Private share links expire on a schedule and can be reset. At the end of the Beta, Vizno may migrate, reset, or delete Beta data, including saved games, share links, generation history, and Veez balances, after the notice described in Section 1. Vizno will tell you before deleting a project that has not been published and will give you a way to export it where the Service supports export at that time.
Vizno's liability for loss of data during the Beta is governed by Section 12 of the Creator Terms.
4. No compensation during the Beta
Participation in the Beta is voluntary and unpaid. You will not be paid, reimbursed, or otherwise compensated for taking part, for the time you spend, or for the content and feedback you provide. Taking part does not earn a preferential revenue share, a discounted platform fee, or any other benefit when monetization is enabled; Founding Creators will be on the same terms as every other creator.
Purchases, tips, subscriptions, and unlocks made during the Beta are test transactions. They involve no real money, create no earnings for any creator, and will be voided or excluded from any accounting when monetization is enabled. Veez credited to your account during the Beta is a promotional credit for use within the Service: it has no cash value, is not redeemable, may be limited or revoked, and may be reset at the end of the Beta.
Access to Vizno's AI generation tools during the Beta is by application. If Vizno grants access, that grant is subject to a separate usage agreement presented at the time of the grant, may include a Veez credit, and may be withdrawn at any time.
5. What Vizno asks of you
The Beta exists to find what is broken, confusing, or missing. In return for the invitation, you agree to use the Service in good faith for real work and to:
- import or start a game, work on it in the authoring tools, and try to get it to publish-ready status;
- report bugs, confusing behavior, and missing features as you find them, through the Beta support channel or by email;
- take part in one exit conversation with Vizno at the end of the Beta;
- respond within a reasonable time when Vizno asks about a specific problem you reported.
Section 4.3 of the Creator Terms (Feedback) applies to everything you tell us. Vizno has no obligation to act on any feedback. Vizno will not quote you by name or use your game in marketing without your separate written consent.
6. Confidentiality
Section 14 of the Creator Terms applies to the Beta. In addition, other Founding Creators' unreleased games that you can play through private links are their confidential information and Vizno's. You will not publish, stream, screenshot, record, or describe another participant's unreleased game outside the Beta without that creator's written consent, and you will not share private links outside the Beta.
You may say publicly that you are a Vizno Founding Creator and describe your own game as you see fit.
7. Ending your participation
You may leave the Beta at any time by emailing support@vizno.com or by terminating your creator account under Section 15.1 of the Creator Terms. Vizno may end your participation at any time, with or without cause, on notice by email. Leaving the Beta carries no penalty and forfeits nothing, because taking part earns nothing beyond the Beta itself.
8. General
This Addendum is governed by, and disputes under it are resolved as set out in, Section 20 of the Creator Terms. Sections 3, 4, 6 (as to Section 4.3 of the Creator Terms), and 7 of this Addendum survive the end of the Beta. Vizno may modify this Addendum as described in Section 16 of the Creator Terms. Questions about this Addendum go to legal@vizno.com.
